Coat Painting |
KVF
Quad Corporation has tailored its powder coat paint application
facilities to adapt to a wide range of size, shape, quantity,
and special constraint components. Unique adaptation of
highly productive through put automated paint lines, and
conventional powder coat paint booths have provided our
customers with a significant advantage where both large
and small quantity production is a necessity.
KVF Quad Corporation applies powder coat paint to customer
supplied product in a process know in the industry as
(DTM) Direct to Metal. This method uses electrostatic
powder sprayed direct to component surfaces followed by
controlled temperature and time cure transition to a durable
one step application.
Typical ferrous and non-ferrous components coated in this
method easily pass the requirements for dry film appearance
and durability, specified by contemporary automotive and
construction equipment industry customers. |

| Vibratory
Finishing |
| Vibratory
mass finishing can be applied to break sharp edges, descale,
deburr, improve the components surface profile, and remove
excess surface smuts and oils. KVF Quad Corporation operates
15 pieces of vibratory equipment including round bowl,
rectangular tub, and centrifugal barrel finishing machines
equaling up to 215 cubic feet of processing equipment. |

| Abrasive
Blast Finishing |
| Pneumatic
or abrasive blast finishing can be applied to generate
an anchor finish to component surfaces, remove tight mill
scale, previous coatings, markings or weld splatter. KVF
Quad Corporation operates two walk in blast rooms, handling
parts with a max weight of 2500 lbs and size up to 15ft
x 3ft x 6ft; five cabinet type blast systems, handling
parts up to 48" and max weight of 100 lbs.; and one
basket blaster with three guns for maximum coverage. Media
used for blasting includes aluminum oxides, glass beads,
plastic grit, steel grit or steel shot depending on the
required finish. |

Blasting |
| Shot
blasting utilizes wheel blast machines, often known as
"tumble blast" or "table blast" machines,
can be applied to generate an aggressive anchor surface,
remove tight mill scale, previous coatings, foundry slag,
core sand or uniformly finish component exterior surfaces.
KVF Quad Corporation operates five machines including
"rubber belt and steel flight" wheel blast machines
and "rotation table wheel blast machines" equaling
up to 35 cubic feet of tumble blast equipment. |

Washing and Cleaning |
| Ultrasonic
cleaning, sometimes referred to as "precision cleaning",
can be applied to components that require carefully controlled
cleanliness. This method of detail cleaning is often a
requirement for component parts that are exposed to fluids
such as fuel, hydraulic oils, and cooling system fluids.
KVF Quad Corporation operates 6 to 36 gallon capacity
immersion ulrasonic cleaners. These cleaning systems can
be adapted to a wide variety of component sizes and application
chemistry. |
